Florida WIC clients use a WIC EBT card to purchase approved foods at authorized stores. Before shopping, check your balance online or 866-629-1095.

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is a federally-funded supplemental nutrition program. WIC supports Florida Families by providing the following at no cost:

  • Healthy foods
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Nutrition education
  • Referrals to other services

Families are screened for nutritional risk and income eligibility. Licensed nutritionists and nutrition educators determine eligibility and provide nutrition assessment, counseling, and education to assist families in making healthier nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle choices.

The WIC office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are recommended, but not required. Thursdays are walk-in days. During times of high client volume, the office may stop accepting clients earlier than posted closing time.

Nutritious Foods and Support for families

Florida’s WIC Program provides vouchers for nutritious foods purchased at authorized stores. Clients purchase the foods at WIC-authorized retailers using a WIC EBT card.

The food package tailored for the individual client is loaded onto the EBT card at the WIC office during certification and nutrition education follow-up appointments.

WIC Mobile App

The Florida WIC Mobile App will give WIC participants the opportunity to view upcoming appointments, view food benefits that have been issued to them in the clinic, scan UPCs while shopping at the store to see if the UPC is a WIC Approved item or not, and provide information on locations of WIC Stores and WIC Clinics across the State of Florida.

The goal of the Florida WIC Mobile App is to give participants all the information they need at their fingertips to make their shopping experience fun and easy.

To register to use the Florida WIC Mobile App, you must be a WIC participant and have been issued a WIC EBT card.
