Pregnancy is a special time for taking care of yourself and your unborn child. Early and regular prenatal care is important. The Florida Department of Health in Flagler County (DOH-Flagler) encourages you to begin your prenatal care with your physician or with us.
DOH-Flagler offers Prenatal Care through our certified midwife, nurses, registered dieticians, lactation specialists, and health educators
Services include:
- Nutrition counseling
- BreastfeedingcClasses
- Healthy Start Coalition screenings and referrals
- Referral to OB/GYN for delivery
- Referral to childbirth classes
- Smoking cessation classes
- Laboratory services
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
All pregnant women living in Flagler County are eligible for prenatal services. For those who do not meet requirements for Medicaid, services are provided with a fee based on income. Temporary medicaid applications may be completed onsite.
