Flagler County, Fla.— The Florida Department of Health in Flagler County (DOH-Flagler) recognizes National Stroke Awareness Month, an observance that highlights the importance of knowing the risk factors and symptoms of stroke.

February 2, 2026 – The Sheltering Tree will be open tonight Tuesday and Thursday nights (and Monday which was already scheduled) but will be closed Wednesday night. The shelter, operated at the Rock Transformation Center, is not only for those experiencing homelessness, but for anyone who is without heat.
January 26, 2026 – The Sheltering Tree will open tonight (Monday, January 26) through Thursday night – at least – as overnight temperatures will be in the low- to mid-30s for the next four nights.
