Needle Collection Program

Florida Department of Health in Flagler County Environmental Health

To prevent contamination to the environment, and infection from bloodborne pathogens, Flagler County Residents may bring their full and sealed sharps containers to the Florida Department of Health in Flagler County Environmental Health Office for proper disposal at no charge. New sharps containers are available for sale, if needed, at a cost of $3.00 for a Quart-sized container and $5.00 for a 2-gallon container.  This program is available to Flagler County residents that generate home-based sharps (needles, syringes with needles, diagnostic lancets, etc.). It is not available to commercial biomedical waste generating facilities.
