Stephen A. Civitelli, MPH
Administrator 
Florida Department of Health in Flagler County

Stephen Civitelli began his current role as the Administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County in April of 2022.

Previously, he served as the Director of Health/Deputy Emergency Manager for the Town of Wallingford in Connecticut. Stephen brings to Florida Department of Health 17 years of public health experience in Connecticut. In 2020 Stephen served as the President for the  Connecticut Directors of Health Association (CADH). In 2015 he served as the President of the CT Environmental Health Association.

He graduated from the University of New England with a master’s degree in Public Health in 2016 and a bachelor’s degree in public health from Southern Connecticut State University.  His three passionate interests in public health are environmental health, community engagement, and public health preparedness.
